    Use your logic !

    A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.
    The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with Loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years - Which room is safest for him?

    scroll down for answer;

    The room with the lions in , if they havent eaten for three years i think they will be dead

    Your turn .....

    I guessed it too, but I thought that assassins with Loaded guns (note the capital L) would have guns that propelled men's general interest magazines at you. If the room is full the smell of foldout aftershave samples would be pretty overpowering though, and possibly fatal

    Hooray! I guessed correctly!

    Here's one for you:

    Mr. Black, Mr. Grey and Mr. White decide to have a truel - that's a duel with three people. Mr. Black will hit his target one third of the time, Mr. Grey will hit his target half of the time, while Mr. White always hits his target. To make the truel fairer, Mr. Black goes first, with Mr. Grey going second, then Mr. White. If a victor hasn't arisen already, then they carry on in this order until this is one man standing.

    The question is: where should Mr. Black shoot with his first shot?

    Into the ground? Mr Grey will shoot Mr White, and then Mr Black can try to shoot Mr Grey.

    Okay here's another...

    This is an unusual paragraph. How quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out!

    Correct, but not quite a full explanation.

    If Mr. Black does not hit either man, Mr. Grey will try and shoot Mr. White as the biggest threat. If he is successful, then it is Mr. Black's turn again, with Mr. Grey as the opponent. Otherwise, it is Mr. White's turn, who will shoot the biggest threat: Mr. Grey. In this scenario, Mr. Grey is certain to get shot, so Mr. Black gets a shot now. Either way, he now has the first shot in a duel rather than a truel.

    If he tried to shoot either of his opponents, if he missed, the situation would unravel as above. However, there is a chance that he would hit, in which case there would now be a duel, but he would not have the first shot.

    Therefore, the best outcome is to make sure he misses.

    Do you remember where you read that one about the truel? I have also seen it before, definitely a book I've read, but can't think which one.

    I've heard it from various places/people, but I think the first place I saw it was in Fermat's Last Theorem.
