The morning after the night before!

Had my work xmas party last night. Never had such a worse hangover as the one I have now.

I was out till 6am and the last thing I can remember is being throw around some dance floor of a grotty club in central london.

Got home so how and fell asleep on the floor in the bathroom.

Thank God I'm now off work till the 2nd Jan

Our xmas party was pretty good actually, it was a Studio 54 themed night and must have cost a fortune to run!

Anyone else had their party and got any funny stories?

We had a great night that included several 'incidents' ....

We started off in Wing Wahs (an all you can eat Chinese restaurant) where we proceeded to do what the name implied. The drinks were also paid for so it also became an 'all you can drink' restaurant.

Towards the end of the meal, the conversation inevitably turned to women. Of course, the women we work with were discussed and one of our friends (who we shall call Mr Potato Head) seemed very selective over who he does and doesn't find attractive. Of course we then asked to see a picture of his girlfriend to see how picky this gentleman really is. He then passed the phone to me. I glanced at it, expecting to see a ladies face. But instead I was greeted by a ladies bottom wearing a very small pair of pants. The phone somehow got passed around the table (full of men) and another colleague (who frequents these forums) even passed it onto our lady boss (head of IT Europe for the company).

Now Mr Potato Head did not seem at all bothered by this, in fact he seemed very happy with the comments. He then showed a few more pictures of his girlfriend. Of course by the time we returned to work the following Monday, he'd forgotten forgotten of these events. We have spent the week reminding him of this Strangely enough, he won't let any of us meet his girlfriend.....

Later on the night (after far too many drinking games and smashing of pint glasses) myself and a colleague attempted to locate our friends. We succeeded in finding one and he explained he had been thrown out for not wearing a jacket (like I said he was drunk) - he then said he was off to collect his coat and he would meet us by the way out. We then went to the meeting point and of course he wasn't there. We then spent the next half an hour trying to find him but to no avail. We decided to go outside and get some food and then continue the search.

Once outside we went to the kebab house next door and noticed that slumped in the corner was a man surrounded by a group of people. We went for a closer look and found it to be our missing friend - once the surrounding people realised we knew this person a cheer went up as they were worried about this chap as they couldn't get any sense out of him. He couldn't explain how he'd got outside (he thought he may have been kicked out again) and also couldn't explain why he was wearing someone elses coat that was covered in sick.

Needless to say, we were all a little 'delicate' the next morning

Keith (a.k.a Captain Cornflake) feel free to add in more of the story!

Ours was pretty eventful though it was all done by one member of staff.

He got kicked out of a club for attempting to pour his own pint after getting impatient, waiting to get served. He would of got away with it but due to the fact that the tap wasn't working he was determind to get something out of it and so jumped over the bar to find the issue...

Next club he got kicked out of for attempting the same thing and while the bouncers were escorting him out he stole a fire extinguisher and managed to get outside the club before getting bundled.

He then proceeded to climb the town Christmas tree and pretend to be an Owl for half an hour before the Police arrived...

The craziest thing I did all night was go to the toliet in the ladies and didn't put the seat down!

I seem to remember after showing the next picture he was at pains to tell us that her breasts weren't actually that big, it was mostly socks. He then, I think, found a sans-socks picture for comparison.

It should be noted that the place was a dive, you are more likely to get kicked out if you were wearing a jacket.

And that doesn't mention bad-impact we may have had on Anglo-German relations.

The No-Jacket guy invited a German (but UK resident) guy to meet up with us, who brought along a German colleague, who had never visited the UK before. They arrived in time for the drinking games, so they weren't much better off than the rest of us. Unfortunately I have vague recollections of the non-UK resident German trying desperately to find his friend as that was were he was meant to be spending the night.
In all the malarky with the above jacket incident he got a bit forgotten by the rest of us.
From reports the next day, he got a night bus in completely the wrong direction and spent several hours randomly walking round the suburbs of Birmingham looking for his friends house...

I've no idea who suggested said drinking games , but I know who went to the shop and purchased the cards for the several dozen games of 'F-You'.

Hmmm... I think I could guess the culprit...

    Legendary, that game!

Although I still can't get fuzzy duck (does he?!) at all... the numbers game in foreign languages is also good.

Our staff afternoon/night out is on friday. Don't know if it will compair to last year as there are a couple of staff members no longer with us... which is a shame from a male point of view.

We also have a corporate box at the football on boxing day, but i don't think i'll make it back from Glasgow in time.
