Excellent, and there was me thinking they had the Gundam Mobil Suits cracked

Still, you go to love the way it fell down the stairs but I think they should have a "Post fallen down a flight of stairs" recovery routine by now

The creepy bit for me are the Asimo running ones, not when he's actually running (that's kinda funny), but when he slows down and stops, it just looks weird..

Amazing really how walking or climbing some stairs is such a hard thing to get down perfectly. Man on the moon - decades ago. Little NASA robot things driving about on Mars sending back pictures - piece of piss. Multiple organ transplants - with our eyes closed!

But making a little robot man who can walk about a bit and climb some stairs - not quite yet.

So how long before a robot that can play tennis? A gazillion years I bet. We'll be walking on Pluto before a robot can make a cup of tea and bring it upstairs to us.

    Makes you think.

I think the problem is, at least in part, the humainoid form. It works well for us, but really it took billions of years of evolution to make it work. 4 legs is more stable and there is no reason robots have to be at all similar to organic life forms.

No it didn't, God did it all a few thousand years ago. Don't you read the Bible? The truth is in there.

It looked like he cracked his head on the floor, and because it looks so much like a child it's diffcult not to think "Awww, poor thing".

Incidentally, the appeal of Humanoid robots is that they'd be able to Reach the tea in the top cupboard, use the kettle and still get through the kitchen door! Our homes are built for humanoid-shaped things, not quadrapeds.

All in all If you want a little thing to bring you a cup of tea, I think it would be cheaper to bribe your kids.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

I love the way they have the folding screens to hand, and quickly hide the robot. I bet that worked; I'm sure the audience thought it was part of the show
