    ADSL and BT

    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question about ADSL2 and BT.

I hardly ever use my house phone but keep paying BT's massive service charge each month so that I can have adsl. Does anyone know if I can cancel my BT phone line and still get my adsl?

    Cheers,

    Wilksj01

Nope unfortunately. BT own the line your ADSL comes down, so you have to pay their Line Rental charge.

there has been mutterings a few months ago about changing that. although i haven't heard anything since so no idea what stage thats at.

i only use my landline to order takeaways. so chucking that would say me £120 a year as it stands now.
