Umm, I remember reading a story about a guy who gambled his life savings including his clothing (and had to rent the suit he wore). Is this the guy?
lucky number seven!
what an idiot tho, my parents would disown me if i did that
The number one rule of Gambling - only gamble what you can afford to lose.
I wish the idiot would have lost so we could all point and laugh at him for being so stupid.

It's just publicity for his poker website. These ad agencies try too hard to make 'viral' videos, they're too polished and have obvious marketing intentions.
^^ agreed.
I don't think this was real - the casino wouldn't have taken the bet if it was really all his money in the world...but I guess we'll never know.

There you go, I knew I wasn't imagining this story.
I saw the original program when it aired must have been 2 years ago (Think it was channel 4, but might not have been). He sold everything, his house, car, all his possessions and then went to the states, he had arranged with one casino to do the bet, but they pulled out and he had to go to another (looked like a backstreet casino).
He was a profesional poker player if I remember correctly!
Beer is life, life is good!
well done to him, he took a risk and it paid off life is all about risks

50/50 chance of winning. Wouldn't do it myself though.
