I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend that is patient. As part of her Christmas present this year I said I'd take her away somewhere. Yes, part of, before I get slammed for not getting my girlfriend anything from the more oestrogen-filled members of the board - I did get her stuff to open on Christmas day
That does, however, leave me open to bashing from those who believe Christmas is too commercial. My witty comeback to that is, erm. You'd be going off-topic!
So anyway. I'm looking to go away around Easter time, that'll fit in with her uni break. Looking for 7-10 day trip max. Decent climate but nothing really above mid 20s or stupidly high humidity, I can't deal with heat. Cold is fine for me though, shame she is the opposite.![]()
I guess budget is approx £750pp, so that leaves me with plenty of possibilities from a quick search. I'd definately like to try something a little bit different, hopefully my budget will accomodate. Shes been away to the typical places, as have I with a few others in the mix like Egypt. What I'm after is some suggestions for destinations and recommendations for tour operators and agents to use and to avoid based on your experience.
Being a John Lewis fanboy because of the warranty and service I generally get given when using them, I checked our their new greenbee.com service and have some nice deals on there. On closer inspection, it just seems to be a front end to Expedia? Of which I can't stand because whenever I've used it in the past I've found *nothing* in the dates I specify? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, plus I'd rather prefer something with a more personal touch!
Cheers!
