can anyone back this up?
can anyone back this up?
sorry wasnt trying to sell it
i dont know any other details, i was just having a go at a friend on msn cause he bought an electric heater and turned off his central heating and i was trying to say he'd be better off the other way around.
and then he told me about the 2.8p per hour that it claims and i thought that was very good
well a quick scout around halogen heater websites (oh dear) and it appears that 280w is extremely lowl, lowest i could ind was 800w. and there usually somewhere in the 1-2kw range.
make of that what you will

Halogen heaters don't store heat so you can't really do economy seven on it (unless you like the house hot at night). I think he's been misled about the electricity cost. Central heating is generally cheaper than portable heaters in any event.
I think i know the one you mean ..i have one, it is upright and can rotate from left to right ?.Bought it in an emergency as a quick fix , yes it was cheap to run , being halogen? Only drawback was that you needed to sit on top of it to keep warm! Oh and is extremely "bright" on the eyes!
