Hardcore isn’t dance music. Hardcore is hardcore, Dance is dance. It all falls under the electronic umbrella though – perhaps that’s what you meant ?
I’ve been to a fair few hardcore events (including some HTID – Hardcore Till I Die ones), but I can’t stomach it for long and usual end up wondering off to one of the other rooms in the club.
The main problem with Hardcore is that it attracts a large number of chavy, illiterate, violent, topless drunken idiots, although I’m not a huge fan of the music either. Sadly these people are starting to spill over to other genres within the scene.

The last time I went to Sundissential, I was majorly disappointed. Not with the music that much (although it had dramatically declined – they ended up mixing some hardcore with hardhouse to please the large number of the crowd that wanted it; which fell flat on its arse), but the people that were attending. In comparison to a few years back where it was very friendly, people would dress up and make an effort, and talking to random’s all night was part of the scene; It’s suddenly become segregated crowds and people daring to make eye contact. Really quite sad to see it go that way.

But now im just sounding like “It was better in the old days” clubber that we all turn into when getting older

Even though I love the music, I never go to the clubs for that very reason :/ Guess I need to start taking pills and I'd fit right in!

Same kinda thing with gabber...i looove the music but a lot of them are racist neo nazis (very stereotypical generalisation but it seems true)

A lot more than Hardcore, but its rare to see a Gabber night around here, so I cant honestly say that I have spent a night listening to it.

Dont get me started on the pills thing. While you can never stop drugs, it seems to have taken a big climb within the last 2 years.
I dont even drink alcohol in a club, I just stick to water.

heh good one you! I don't drink particularly but I never go out because (amongst a few other reasons) i feel a bit silly not drinking when everyone else does. I listen to gabber online...

www.di.fm (which i'm sure you know and listen too)
    www.hype.fm
    www.fearfm.com

Some gabber stations there if you are interested, i must listen these stations like 10 hours every day lol.

I used to go to a lot of outdoor parties where gabba seemed to be the staple diet at 7am onwards - honestly, it's good for about 30 mins, but not for 4 frikkin hours!

However, I never met anyone who caused, or wanna cause, trouble.

whats the genre called where you get the singing squirrel?
Is this the crap that chavettes play at the back of buses on the loudspeaker of their phones? Ive always been tempted to throw those phones out the window followed quickly in succession its owner!

But now im just sounding like “It was better in the old days” clubber that we all turn into when getting older
Already there mate Plus in this crap city, everywhere's closed, all venues have more or less shut and the crap ones are left. All the decent clubnights have finished up and no one's even trying to do anything to fill in the holes.

I was well into hardcore back in the late 90's but it started to get very bad so I drifted away . . .

Anyway , I bought that Hardcore Euphoria CD a little while ago, its actually quite good. Sy's scratching is wicked !

Ive never produced hardcore, usually do drum & bass or down tempo house stuff. Not that Im any good.

Does anyone else actually produce their own tracks here?
