    Photos of Hammonds Crash!

    Hi,

Was going to put this in Motors, but thought it might be better placed here.

Photos from Hammonds crash are in the new issue of Top Gear magazine, as well as one available on BBC News, and also here.

Top Gear magazine also claim that the full video of the crash, which proves that a tyre burst, will be shown on the first show of the new Top Gear season, due to air a week on Sunday.

The Mirror has a couple new pictures from the magazine. 1 of when the tyre fails, 1 similar to the one on the BBC site with the car upside down in the air, and another which I don't remember.

It doesn't look all that scary (I watch a LOT of motorsport, and have seen some truely horrific looking crashes over the years, most in American NASCAR and drag racing), until you remember he's doing 288mph when that tyre fails, and probably still doing over 150mph in that upside down shot (it had already done 1 full somersault by then).

Probably gonna be the highest ratings the BBC will have had for a long while!
Looking forward to the new series, starting to get a little bored with the repeats/best of's now.

Wow. I'm obviously glad Hammond made a full recovery and Top Gear aren't backing down from showing the crash footage, as I'm sure some other programs would.

I can't wait till the new series starts, I've been having to fill the void with all the previous episode I have on my PVR!

Yay, that will cheer Sunday TV up again . Can't wait. I just hope its not a stupid short season like 6 or so episodes.

TopGear repeats have to be the most watched program on UKTV. I've watched just about all of them over and over again.

I think one Saturday at home I managed to pan out the majority of my TV schedule on NTL to consist entirely of Top Gear back to back
