Question Global warming Becoming More Pronounced!

There was a few flakes of snow here in Northern Ireland yesterday but clear blue skys all day today. I think this year has really showed me how bad and how big of a threat global warming is.

I mean we should not be getting the kind of weather that we are getting this time of the year. Its more like spring!!

There has been very little snow and on the whole its been unusally mild.

I also feel that this will be the warmest and driest summer to date this year.

What do you guys think, i mean do you's see global warming having a bigger impact each and every year?

I mean in 20 years im scared to think of just how much of a difference it will have made to the worlds weather patterns.

    Yeah definetly.

I've got a close friend in Canada and he told me that every year the snow comes pretty much the same week. Where as this year it snowed about 2-3 weeks late.

Same as out in (It was either France or northen Italy) a mate of mine works in a skiing resort, the same thing happened there. The coming of the snow was several weeks late.

Its been a really warm winter in the UK and with the storms on thursday being the worst in, was it 17 years?

There is a noticable inpact of global warming.

Yeah it's been really warm down here too. Apart from the crazy wind the other day it's not really been cold at all.

I can only ever remember snow being early in the New Year for the UK as that is when we are at the coldest.

Spring in the UK is counted in my book and others too as March/April/May, Summer is June/July/August and Autumn is Sept/Oct with Winter in Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb. No official word on it though.

Maybe this ¨Global warming¨ isn’t from c02 emissions, maybe it could be the fact that we could be getting closer to the sun? or the sun is getting closer to us? It is a dying star after all and dying stars tend to expand as they die and get hotter. Also if you looked at how the weather has changed on this planet from the beginning and ice age etc, you could say that the fact that the earths climate is changing is totally natural and i believe this to be true. ¨Global warming¨ is just something to scare us and make us believe that paying more on petrol and on flights is helping the planet, but really its not. The EU have used this as a way to make more money from us.

hmm. we should be able to measure our distance from the sun pretty easily.. beards must know if its changing, so if thats the case there just not telling us about it.

probably the most unreliable source ever but i do remember jeremy clarkson saying that german scientists have discovered that the sun is expanding and getting closer to us. This could be true as there is alot of things that governments dont want you to know about. People can be paid off to be quiet about these things, ive read some medical journals on possible natural cures of illnesses but have not been released because its a threat to the drugs companies. not sure if its all true, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors. I wouldnt believe that global warming is our fault at all.

    I think it's Dr Evil's Uber-Powerful Weather Controlling Device that's to blame.

Yea you never know I am inactive for a few months then all this talk about global warming and i am back on trying to shift the blame to the sun sounds pretty suspect to me.

i dont think we should even worry about it all, its going to happen any way.
    may aswell just enjoy life.

In a few billion years this would be true. The sun will start to suffocate and swell up engulfing the inner planets. The sun is about half way through its life span at the moment though. Besides by the time that happens our galaxy and the Andromeda galaxy will be on the verge of merging with each other, so a sun dieing is the least of our worries...from a race point of view.

The earth was a much warmer planet 100Mill + years ago. They think that at one point it got so hot that 95% of life died out and much of the land mass was just desert. The current situation is nothing compared to that.

If the earth was getting closer to the sun we would know about it without scientists needing to tell us; the climate would be in utter chaos, and think of all those amateur astronomers that look at the sun, they would know if the sun is getting closer because it appear to get bigger. No government is capable of shutting all of them up.

I will agree though that GW is designed to scare us, tbh theres too much over kill with these scientists now, its getting boring reading about climate change this and global warming that. Theres even global dimming now. Instead of talking about it do something about it. The earth has natural warm/cold periods, you only have to look at pre history time periods to see this. Despite this I do think we are artificially speeding the warming process up. But for people to blame us as a race for global warming is just nonsense. Volcanoes spew out far more green house gases than we as a race produce each year.

I can understand the fact that global warming is becoming a little boring, but in no way is it over blown that often. If anything at the present rate the destruction will be worse than many would like to admit. 1/2 of britain underwater

It's just art of a natural cycle, as the earth continues to recover from an ice age...
