Humbug! is the word Ebenezer Scrooge uses when anyone talks about christmas, it comes from the book 'A Christmas carol' by charles dickens.

I think the word 'Humbug!' means he does not believe in it
My favourite saying from it is
"every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. He should!"
a humbug is one of them black n white stripey mint thingies isnt it? or a saying grumpy old scrooges (and Knox) say around christmas to avoid getting into any festivities.
