    Difference in RAM

    Hey

I was just wondering if anyone knew the differnece between a few types of RAM I am looking at buying.

    2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP

    2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-12

    2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2 Dominator,DDR2 PC2-6400, 240 Pins, NonECC Unbuffered, CAS 3-4-3-9, EPP

The obvious differnce being CAS and the numbers after that.

Having no idea what that means it would be great if someone could clear that up for me!

    Thank you!

    Have a gander at this.

The smaller the numbers the 'quicker' the RAM is, I say 'quicker' cos it makes very little difference and generally it's not worth the premium.

Generally people loosen timings in the hope of overclocking the RAM further anyway.
