20" (or close) TFT, close to £200

I want one that has DVI, VGA and preferably speakers. Inputs are:

DVI: High-spec PC
VGA: Xbox 360

One's I've found:

2" Daewoo L2200DM
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=534301

Sexy, but Daewoo!??

20" Viewsonic VG2030WM
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=532101

Nice and solid by the looks

20'' Samsung SM205BW
http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=606849

Samsung, always good

20.1" Dell E207WFP
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=503582

Not bad and have the dell speaker bar so that's not an isue.

Anyone have any advice at all?

Appreciated

You shouldn't rule out the Daewoo. I've seen another Daewoo monitor in action and it almost tore me away from my CRT addition

Avoid the dell, it's an atroicious thing.

Dont have anything to say about the viewsonic really.

My preference would be the samsung, then the daewoo, then viewsonic, and I'd rather have a brick than the dell

I have a Dell 2405FPW and it's flipping amazing...by far and away the best TFT I've used.

Anyone else have an opinion? I like the Daewoo actually

Samsung 205BW has a good rep for a reason - indeed I'd buy one if I didn't need Svideo/Composite Video aswell..

I got a viewsonic vx2025 20" widescreen some time ago - great monitor, and Viewsonic seem to be a good company with a pretty nice dead pixel warranty as far as they go. I know a lot of other people who have various viewsonics and they all seem to be pretty happy! It has speakers, though I don't use 'em. Monitor speakers are rarely good.

If you can stretch your budget slightly you could get the 22" version for about £275

No £275 is about 50 too much. Plus it's the same res and not much bigger. If it was 1920 x 1200 then that would be another story

I would look at the 22" Fujitsu at Dabs for £211+delivery. I've found with the 20" that the text is a bit small (like viewing on a 17" TFT at 1280x1024).

The other recommendation is the Samsung 206BW from Play.com for £206 delivered or the 205BW from Amazon for £200 delivered.

Friends got the 19" Daewoo version, its amazing top notch monitor.

At that price you should seriously have a good think about it.
