I don't normally equate 'After a week the colours went funny' with 'really nice build quality'
I guess you mean the surround was solid and none squeeky etc?

Yea, I bought it from eBuyer and I think it wasn't brand new, I suspect a lot of the stuff I come from there, like they sell refurbed stuff as new. I guess they're cheap though. It had a nice picture, until the screen went. It was a hardware problem though that could have happened to any monitor really.
They sent me two dead hard drives too (they sent me two, one didnt work, then the replacement didnt work either. then they were out of stock, a few weeks later I got one and it came in the nice silver foil, wheras before it was in a plastic box!)
Definately with scan now though, at least you know you're getting brand new unopened goods.
Personally, I'd go for 22" if you can afford it, as bigger is better no matter what they say, but there is a substantial price difference in my experience, particularly as the prices of 19" monitors have seemed to crash over the last few weeks.
The Dell 22" won the PC Pro award this month and is currently £247 from Dell. With QuidCo discount it works out to £235.

Always get the biggest display you can. You'll only regret it otherwise, the display is after all the most important computer component.
