    Powercolor 9800Pro

Am thinking about buying an arctic silencer (from pcworld, lol) to make it quieter and because i have heard that powercolor fans have a tendency to stop working.

If the 9800Pro stops working, is there anything to stop me putting the retail heat sink back on and sending it back?

I've had a Crucial, Sapphire and a c3d 9800p and all used cheapo? white themal paste, so I suppose as long as you dont damage the core and re-apply the same stuff back on then you're I don't think there's really anyway to tell that you have removed the stock HSF, so in short - no. This is of course assuming that Powercolour don't use thermal pads.

I don't believe they do use thermal pads.

    Thx for the help.
