Hey guys
I am looking for a buget card for the system I am building. It will probably be upgraded to an 8800 eventually but I just need somthing so I can run my montior and my TV through it at the same time so either a vga and a dvi card or a duel dvi card.
The 7100 and the 6200 cards are both around £20-£30. Which is better or is there not enough difference to care about?
Any other card suggestions?

At that end of the market, I doubt the difference will be that much to worry about.
What motherboard/processor combination you going for?
Yep it wont make much difference.. 7300 (£35ish) may improve games a little but probably not.

end of the day £20 or £30 is just a waste..so lets say you can get a gts for £160 but then its cost you £30 anyway and you've had to wait 2 months for the card lol
so have you actually got the motherboard because if u really do wanna wait u could get a diff one with onboard gfx. Otherwise dont bother with crappy graphics cards if u can afford an 8800Quote:

look at the 7800gtx ...still sells for £250 and over :thumbsup:
You may as well see whats avaliable in a month or so. The 8300, and 8600's are on the way afaik and the 8600 "gts/ultra" has a good spec.. especially if you are planning SLi.

It is true, no onboard on 680i. £20 is not bad for a one off though, dont think it is worth getting a dif mobo for it?
Try and get a PCI-E X800 second hand. Shouldn't cost more then £40 and hold there value well.
It will also lay the proverbial smack-down on a 6200.

TBH i cant help you with that but i dont see the point in SLI boards, i bought into it early with my asus a8n 32 sli deluxe and its worthless. looking back i wish i had saved my cash and spent it on something more worthwhile.Quote:
