Vivo Wtf?
Hi,
I've had my graphics card for around 18 months now. It's got VIVO but I've never used it. Now that I've got a DVD burner though, I thought I might record some stuff off the TV.
How does this work? I assume I need some kind of program to get the input and record it (I think my card came with some software but bugger knows where it is now).
Also, how do I output using the VIVO? If it's plugged in, does it just automatically happen?

Trie the card makers website for it, e.g if it's ati go there i'm pretty certain they have the software there

You gotta capture the image onto you're hard disk 1st then you can burn it onto the disks.
Just connect an output on the TV or video to the VGA card input (Reccomend using the SVGA) and also same goes for the sound, you will most likely need a D type scart converter for the TV / Video side. Open the capture program and just hit record. Mind you for smooth playback you need to have loads of hard disk space free as it takes up loads of space saving the files.
If you want to output to a TV just connect the S-Vid output to the vid or TV (Same goes for the sound) then go into the drivers for the VGA card and enable the 2nd screen, just select clone primary screen to get it onto the TV screen.
