Apparntly so :/
Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case
heh..had never heard of that one. Why put that much money into AGP tho :s
lol exactly, £200 buys you a DS3 and an E6400.
Then sell current motherboard/CPU/RAM and get 2GB DDR2 for £60 and a PCI-E 7950GT for £115
lol he has a 7800GS AGP currently, that would fetch a fiar bit on ebay![]()

would you gain anything from an 7800gs really..
start the upgrade to PCI-E
well with new sockets around the corner i would like this system to last a while longer , this would last me till i upgrade to the new sockets etc when they are available

if you wanna stay on the same socket for now you should try and get a pci-e board. then it'll be cheaper. lets see a8n32 deluxe costs about £90 and you can get a 8600gt for £99, much less than that card. then you can sell your card and that mobo. sure its not as good as a c2d upgrade but its much cheaper and keeping with the same socket.
if i did that and got a 8800gts 320 , would my cpu be the bottleneck ? . or should i go pci-e and get a 8600gtshttp://www.web-systems.co.uk/?page=Products&pid=3503

Here is what I would personally do and what I suggest....
Do nothing. Wait for penryn . Then change the lot.
Unless your looking for something to replace a broken part then there is no need or point to spend the money on "upgrading" anything in your current system. Your throwing money away. Your system will more than last untill penryn comes out.

well i think this 7800gs is starting to die on me , getting all sorts of problems in the games i am playing (hl2 , farcry , stalker , doom3 and fear) . getting weird shapes/colours after a few min of playing , temps never go above 58c under load (no matter what driver i use)
seems like artifacting to me. try rma'ing it if its still in warranty. and also about the bottlenecking. i forgot i said about getting an am2 system for that £200. if you got an am2 system and sold your agp card and used the money from it to buy a 8800gts it wouldnt really bottleneck it. as for waiting for penryn. you'll wait for it then probably wont get it because of its price. although you could get the cpu's down the range as they'd probably drop in price. but its up to you. socket am2 is compatible with am3 cpu's when they come out. as for intel its new mobo for each new type of cpu although same socket.
EVGA should have 10 year warranty...
