    20" Ws Lcd

Looking to replace my almost five and half year old LG Flatron 795FT CRT - given up waiting for SED. It's been utterly reliable and still provides a superb image. However it's huge for a less than 16" viewable area, and if I replace it before it fails I can keep it as a backup.

Looking for a 20" widescreen LCD. Primary use will be gaming, web browsing and word processing. Want DVI - HDCP would be nice, but is not essential - and a good stand particularly wrt height adjustment. No need for webcam, tuner or speakers.

Typically be used a lot, so obviously looking at good quality. Prepared to pay £200-£300.

Been looking at this one at the Philips 200WP7ES (note the 'P' not 'B')

Did well in the couple of reviews I found (though they're both from the same publisher): CustomPC and PCPro (can't post the links as I'm new here.)

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

[EDIT:] How come I can't have all caps in my subject?

This one is a very nice monitor and has had decent reviews and also supports HDCP on the DVI port. However, I would personally suggest getting one of this one, which supports HDCP on the DVI port and also has an HDMI input for later on if you decide on something that requires that.

    Thanks for the links.

    HDCP/HDMI isn't essential.

If I went for a Dell it would be the UltraSharp, but that's both more expensive than the Philips (at least at the moment) and (on claimed figures) slower.

WRT the Asus, I'm a bit suspicious in terms of quality (build or image) of paying less for a bigger screen. Is it height adjustable?

I've seen some very poor reviews of the E207 - I'd avoid it personally.

The BenQ one is ok, though 22inch. I'd also recommend the Samsung 206bw, viewsonic 2025, nec 20GX2 etc.
