    Aeolus PCX6600GT-DV128 - Faulty?

I could do with some help with the above card.

    Its a PCI-Expresss 16 Card which I bought off Ebay .

I havent had the best of luck with GC's off ebay and I dont know why I just didnt buy a brand new card.

The problem is that in both on my machines once I install the GC drivers it won't run any of the DX diag tests (Hangs but cand End Task), wont run any D3D app like 3dMark or even run a OpenGL app like Halflife. I have been used to GC problems in the past like graphics corruption or if it won't boot etc but not one where it acts fine in windows in 2d.

I originally put the card into a new test rig to no avail (Clean build of XP), replaced chipset drivers, GC drivers (With Driver Cleaner) to no avail.

I finally put it into my fully working main rig but same fault (Main rig has a 7800GT so no driver change needed).

Before I look at sending it back to the seller is there anything else I can use to either diagnose fault before I send it back or revive it like re applying firmware?

Its an Aopen card so I expect it would only have 1 years warranty originally.

    Thanks in advance

    Anyone help?

I have already sent a message to ebay seller but any help here would be good.

Any decent diagnostic software for nvidia graphic cards?

It was originally installed into a fresh build of XP. Since then I have removed both the chipset and graphics driver using Driver Cleaned and reinstalled using alternatives.

The card also dindt work in my main workstation that currently runs a 7800. After auto detection and a reboot it had the same problem.

It looks like hardware but I would like an alternative check, does a Linux distro like ubunto give me the chance to tested the hardware by running some OpenGL software?
