Samsung TV/HDMI/HDCP/DVI/8800GTS

I have a Samsung TV with the HDMI/DVI socket, in the manual it says that the HDMI won't work if plugged into a computer.

However as I have the 8800GTS that is HDCP compatible?

Does this mean that the manual is assuming that you won't have a HDCP compatible graphics card?

Will I be able to use the HDMI on the TV with the 8800GTS?

get a DVI-D->HDMI adaptor and hook it up to the tv, will work no problem.

Aye yeh, that's what I was thinking, I was just confused why it said in the manual that it wouldn't work with a computer DVI output, but I guess the manual was written before HDCP was less mainstream.

IIRC, it was Samsungs that won't run at the native res over HDMI, so you'll be better running over VGA. Either that, or it won't accept the signal without the HDCP data incorporated into it.

One of the two, anyway. Any reason you can't run VGA?

I've currently got my 360 plugged into the VGA, It's just easier to use both the sockets on the back rather than switching between the 360 and PC, like I did before I got the 8800GTS.
