I've got the Viewsonic - it's pretty good although I don't know the Daewoo to compare it to.

There's a wee bit of backlight bleed with a completely dark screen, not an issue for me but if you are obsessive about these things then it might annoy you.

But now I've gone to 22" I'll never go back!

I would look at Ebuyer as they have the Samsung 225BW for £195 delivered after Google Chekcout.

RL Supplies are selling a CiBox 22" LCD Monitor for £164.44 including VAT.

    http://www.rlsupplies.co.uk/products....asp?id=234756

The spec looks identical to the Viewsonic Q22wb but it is significabtly cheaper.

plz dont buy a viewsonic! their colour reproduction is poor, they get dead pixels easily, thier contrast ratio is dreadful and they look & feel tacky and cheap. I have a dawoo monitor and it is faaaaaaaaar superior although the samsung monitor mentioned earlier would be the best option.

I picked up a Samsung 225BW from Ebuyer. Received today.

I have the same problem as I had with the 205BW (20") I picked up from PC World - it buzzes when Brightness is on the low side (under 95)

I believe I have sensitive hearing and that's why I can hear it. My brother had to put his ear close to the 205BW to hear it where as I could hear from a couple of feet away.

    Daewoo 22"

    Hello,

I'm no expert but bought the 22" Daewoo from scan because it has a Samsung TN panel.
I'm quite happy with it, build quality and look is suprisingly good.
I have one lazy pixel (hopefully fixable), it needed a lot of playinig with settings to get it to look right (usual stupid level of brightness), also there is noticeable bleed round the bottom of the screen, when screen is black - but less than on the Dell I had before (17").

On balance I'm very happy with it given the price - my only other recommendation would be the samsung 226bw - but thats another £75 (for 2ms response time)

    Hope that helps

The L2200DM? I'm after a larger monitor for work, but I have 1 very specific need... can you flick between DVI and VGA inputs easily (2 different PCs on 1 monitor)? I don't want to be faffing around in menus, so a single button to alternate would be perfect (like my current (and crap) Viewsonic and the Dell I have at home).

I have a 19" Daewoo and its a great monitor, way too bright out of the box but thats easily fixed with some tinkering so I imagine the 22" wont be much different. Although, with the better featured Samsungs at a similar price I'd probably take one of those.

I'm not sure if they've sold any! They don't have any stock and keep changing the "Due Date"
