    openGL drivers

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum and needed a your help.

Recently I installed a software when ever i try to run program, it will send me a 'fatal' error saying i should ensure that the latest OpenGL video driver is installed in my system, I updated my intel 915Gm express chipset which they said supported openGl but the problem persisted?

    What can i do?

Which version of OpenGL does the program you are using require? It's quite likely that your 915 cannot support openGL 2.0, which might be required by this app.

[QUOTE=kalniel;1083286]Which version of OpenGL does the program you are using require?

It says make sure your system is installed with the latest version.
I have checked the intel website and they said the chipset support openGL but not the one that came with windows, I should upgrade from their website. But the upgrade is demanding UUA high definition audio driver from microsoft which is not freely downloadable until you contact microsoft directly. I contacted them and they refer me back to my systems manufacturer - which unfortunately happens to be PC world- I contacted PC world techguys twice through email but no answer.

So I went ahead to installed the upgraded version of the chipset - thinking since my system is little bit new, less than a year- it might have came with the uua drivers.

Now the problem is not solved and I am having a freezing voice and video, try reverting the chipset to its original condition but the problem persist.

Dont know what to do now.

? You shouldn't need to upgrade audio drivers as well (though they might be out of date).

For starters, what is the program you are trying to run? It might not be possible on your chip at all.

Secondly, the drivers you need are here:
    http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...ProductID=1862

To sort out the drivers, first uninstall your current ones (assuming you're on xp use system restore to the point just before installing them), then run the drivers downloaded above.

Thanks for your effort. the problem seems to be with the audio drivers.

I did 'have a disk' update of the video drivers only and it seems to work fine.

    Cheers
