Hi all,
I've just seen this screen on Scan, but it seems far too cheap to be true. Does anyone know what the quality is like and is anyone here planning on getting this TFT?
Thanks all
Darren

Its a cheapo TN film panel like the 226B. Poor colours poor viewing angles but fast response time. OK for gaming and office use. Horses for courses as they say.
I've been wondering about this monitor too..... so d'you think it's worth the extra £100 for the Dell then?
Also, a more general question, how do you go on for gaming at these resolutions? Are there any games that actually support it, or do you end up with 1280x1024 stretched to fit the huge screen?
less than £100 more than a paid for my 22"er 6 months or so ago. prices are STILL dropping

You can get the Dell for about £400 and get it now, the Samsung looks good on paper but is not available yet. If you wait will prices go up or down ? Its a bit of a gamble.
Most modern games support widescreen, so with a GTS you will be OK with all but the most demanding games. Depends what you play.
Here is a review of the Samsung http://www.overclockersonline.net/?p...um=1171&pnum=0
Must admit it looks tempting.
