Hi got two motherboards that behave the same with my monitor. I install the two boards and the cpu fans spin and the graphics card spins as well as hard drive lights etc but the monitor wont power. My old Elite monitor board works fine but when i try to install a new board the screen goes blank, although everything seems to be on.
I am running Windows XP Pro
AMD Athlon 2600+
Geforce 6600 128mb (PNY)
1 gig Kingston value memory
sound blaster 128 sound
Maxtor harddrives *2
HP Dvd 940 writer.
Use driver cleaner to clean up your monitor and GFX card drivers then reinstall them, if that doesnt work try making sure that the onbaord GFX on the motherboard has been disbled and that the 6600 is the primary display adapter.
thats all i can think of, sorry if this doesnt sort your problem.
As above, make sure you have the power connection in on the GFX and try clearing cmos( bios) to see if that helps ?

The speed of ram may not be supported by the newer board, i had this exact same problem only yesterday, tried everything else before using higher speed ram, then it booted fine
