For my new rig im looking to get a relatively good DX10 card, i am however torn between the following:

ATI HD2900 XT
Nvidia 8800 GTS 320MB

The GTS 640 can be had cheaper for less then the x2900t

I have an 8800GTS 320MB, it's a whooping card, and considering it only set me back £190 odd, a bargain too.

But out of the two cards I would say get the 8800GTS 320mb but you can get the 640mb version cheap nowadays

But the 640's are not as cheap, and when it looks like the difference is only 2 FPS at the higher resolution, whats the piont.
You might as well get the 320!
It would hardly take any tweaking at all to match the 640.
