    Dell 24" monitor size

I am on the brink of ordering the HC version of this monitor in HK for 320GBP but I was wondering how big is the box and how much does it weigh? also I heard you have to fill out some form to get warranty in the UK for it b/c you have to register with a different Dell support center, any info on that?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated .

Contact Dell directly on the help line. Also check Import duty VAT. The box is huge. If I have a chance tomorrow I'll measure up for you.

Im actually in Hong Kong atm so I am going to bring it back on the plane, I know that the box is huge so I am going to see if it is possible or not Last year I bought back the 22" model for 190 pounds and I sold it yesterday for 200 which is still 50 pounds less than the retail in UK.

@drat UK, import tax shouldn't be a problem, never been stopped at the airport b/c I always travel in a group. Also it would be massively appreciated if you measure up the box

Another question.. if the box is too big, is there a way to cut the size down? I mean inside the box is there alot of useless space etc?

Not really, its just polystyrene for protecting the screen. the box is BIG and heavy ! You will have a job managing it yourself very far and for sure it will not go in an overhead locker.

You open up the box and take the panel out, then place the stand and cables in your bag, and try and then get a suitcase that would be big enough for the panel and pack the suitcase the panel and towels. Can't guarentee sucess but seems like your best bet.

Sorry for the delay M8. Was on leave and the missus demanded we go away for a few days. Anyway here are the measurements.
External measurements of the box 65cm length 50 cm width 26 cm deep.

    Hope this helps.

Weight of monitor is 8.5 kg add another 250 to 300 gms for box.
