    L226WTQ in black?

So I'm looking to buy a 22" widescreen. I've read some huge number of reviews and forums etc and am starting to think that the LQ L226WTQ is probably a good bet. All the reviews on ebuyer and overclockers are five stars. What would probably really tip the balance on the LG is if I could find one in black in this country. Don't suppose anyone knows of a places sells them? It seems illogical that LG would only sell the silver one here and I would greatly prefer a black one.

From all the reading I've done I've come to the conclusion that there are plenty of people who will declare a given monitor to be great and plenty who will declare it rubbish. This guy (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/oth...ay/22inch.html) reviews seven 22" and declares they all have "this or that serious drawback"!

I was thinking SM226BW but there's that panel thing. The SM22CW is on the way but don't think I can wait and the only place listing it is overclockers and it's more than I'm willing to pay. The Dell E228WFP looks good too and it does have the blackness going for it. That HP 22" one (2007W?) might be good if it wasn't one of them hey look I can see what's outside the window to my right glossy screens. Such a dilemma

They exist.. but i take it when you say this country you mean the UK?

Might help, if you let us know what budget you have?

    Some other options from Scan:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=573098 (Viewsonic £182)

Yup. And check out the price range - $309.99 is about £160 at current exchange rates, or about £40 less than the silver one goes for in the UK. I'm sure the shipping would eat up the price advantage not to mention the hassle of changing it if it was faulty.

I'd go probably go to £250. Can find the E228WFP listed less than the £248.15 Scan have it at right now, but the few places I just found it all out of stock. This place is offering to get it changed if there is one or more dead/stuck pixels. Now that is tempting...

    Re: L226WTQ in black?

I've just upgraded to the LG and been very happy so far. moved up from a 19" LG (1915) and find the increase in desktop space great, while the colour's are definitely better than my old screen. however, like you, I wanted the black frame. Ultimately ended up orderining from Microdirect (who had a great price at the time) and showed the black version in their website. however, it arrived with the silver frame, so just a heads up.
