Spec me an upgrade to my 9800
Right, got an ageing Radeon 9800 Pro in my box - 2.1Ghz Amd Athlon, NF7-S nforce 2 mobo, 1.5 GB RAM. Would spending 100 notes or less on an upgrade for the video card be worthwhile? If so, what would you peeps suggest?
I have a Dell 20" 4:3 monitor, so would be looking to drive that in some manner. Oh, and it's a AGP mobo. Would that hold me back?
I'm not looking for the ability to play everything at 1 billion x 1 billion with 32x AA, just something that will make BioShock look pretty...

Re: Spec me an upgrade to my 9800
Second Hand 6800GT would keep up in most titles without breaking the bank, or spending too much money on what is now a dead platform (sad yes, but the truth - my main rig is still a Barton 3200+)
Re: Spec me an upgrade to my 9800
If I'm reading that right your on a Athlon xp 2800+ which is the old 32bit one not the 64
A 2nd 6800GT would be ok (256mb not 128mb)
For new, a 7600gs or gt (gt better, also look for gddr3 not gddr2)
If you can find it cheap an x1650pro
You'll never get great fps in bioshock as your cpu is going to be struggling.
EDIT: you could get a x1950pro for just under £100 however considering that your next upgrade down the line is going to be a new cpu, which will also mean new motherboard, memory and graphics card at least (min cost approx £300) and probably new hard drives and PSU as well (+£80-100)
So spending £100 now on a graphics card is going to be a bit of a waste, I'd look at £60 max
