Also im currently running a mere GeForce FX5900XT, will that be sufficent to produce the resolution i need for a 20 or 22'' LCD screen?
And ive read somewhere that the monitor needs to be HDCP compatible to play the PS3. if it has HDMI port does that mean it is compatible?
please please tell me what you guys think and advise me on the best option! i would much appreciate it! thanks very much in advance :)

Not for playing graphically intensive games it wont.
You would have to move to one of the mid range nVidia or ATI cards for that. (or a 7900GT/GTX) i wouldve thought.
Re: tiny winy bit of an advice please!
I'd probably go for the 'SAMSUNG 225MW' if that's what you need. I currently have a Samsung 226BW which I'm very pleased with. As far as I'm aware all the latest Samsung screens are HDCP complient, but you can check on the official product page on the Samsung website.
You'll probably want to upgrade that GPU as said above - if you're into gaming a 7900GTX or DX10 8800 series card would do a lubly job :)
Re: tiny winy bit of an advice please!
i've got a dell 2007wfp and it's a lovely monitor
and yea with that card you wouldn't really be able to game at those screens native res
Re: tiny winy bit of an advice please!
The SAMSUNG 225MW should be fine.
If you want to watch TV on it then you don't need to worry about a TV-tuner so much, get a cheap digital TV set top box and plug it in via the scart socket on that monitor ;)
If you go for one without a TV-tuner you should be able to connect it to a settop box via scart or component video input, so make sure the monitor you buy has one of thoes.

Where did you order from? The 226BW can be had for £235, which is alot cheaper than the prices quoted in your first post (£283).
I've got the 225BW and its an excellent monitor. I haven't got a single complaint.
Re: tiny winy bit of an advice please!
not couple of weeks! thats an error, picked it up today from argos, it cost 250 pounds so pleased with the price. The screen is gorgeous, 100% satisfied with it, had to change my graphics card tho! :S TV quality is surprisingly good, even tho people said it wont be any good. its good that u can have a little screen up and watch TV while being on the comp!
