    Best PCI-E Graphics for ~£100-£120

    Hi All,

I know this is a contentious thread, but what *really* is the best card for circa £110?

Needs to be a single slot solution, Vista compatible, PCI-E and fairly quiet (intended for HTPC with occasional gaming), with twin DVI/HDMI.

    Ideas?

    If you want DX10

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=615611 edit: but its double width

    or

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=615951 edit: Double width but behind the card if its any good to you?

    Good passive cards.

The 8800GTS is the best card in the price range but the only quiet/silent solution I can see is this

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=577074

which I seem to remember performing poorly in terms of cooling.

Best single width card is the standard 8600GTS .. something like this

If you want DX9 then the ATI X1950pro or XT is best.

HDMI built in, so no messing with adaptors, should play the od game as well

Maybe one of ati radeon 1950 : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=619509

Support for Vista and AC suppose to make it quiet - only problem not in stock, will most fairly new games no probs
