    X1950 Pro AGP Temp.

    Hello guys.

First of all, my case isn't exactly a good one, it's a stock packard bell one so as you can imagine air flow isn't superb.

I'm using a stock x1950 pro agp cooler, and I'm slightly worried about the temps.

Idle the temps will be around 55C, with WoW running for example, temps will reach to about 80c-82c.

How safe is it to run my card at these temps? I don't want my card to burn out in a few months lol.

    Thanks.

Are you getting any corrupted video artifacts displaying on screen? Try installing a free bit of software called "ATI Tray Tools", go to the overclocking tab and there is an option to change the speed settings of the onboard GPU fan. I changing mine to 100% and it dropped the temps considerably which I thought was worth it even though the fan noise is only slightly more audible than it was before. I left the side of my case off too after recently installing some additonal memory and noticed that helped drop the temps a few degrees too, just a thought if you can put up with the noise!
