Any X1950XT for around £100 in stock

    Hello,

I was going to upgrade my 7800GT to 1950xt until xmas and get the new nvidia cards then but cant find any in stock for reasonable price. So might have to bite the bullet and a 8800GTX now. Unless someone can spot some nice cards that seem good value.

    Cheers

    Best I can do:

Sapphire 256Mb Radeon X1950 XT PCI-Express VGA Card
£113.92 inc VAT (normally in stock)
    http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/prod...195XT256&af=50

    Sapphire Radeon X1950 XT 256MB PCI-E DVI/VIVO Graphics Card (Lite-Retail) ROHS
    £115.94 inc VAT (15 09/27)
    http://www.kikatek.com/product_info....ducts_id=20305

But I'd suggest you go for a 8800 card or wait, rather than spend £100 on a stopgap.

Stick with what you've got for the moment. Do you really need to shell out £100 for 6 months use? Just turn a few details down.

//edit: For the record, the X1950XT will be a 'big improvement', but it's not worth £100 unless you can get a decent amount (£50) for your 7800GT, which is unlikely. I'd still happily be on a X800XT if it hadn't been sold to a cousin as with some other bits.

That Eclipse site says 'Usually in Stock', which I found means 'actually, not in stock and we're not going to be able to get any for the forseeable future', which of course they don't tell you until after you've placed your order.

If you dont need ti now it might be worth waiting a few months as the next revision of the cards is around the corner and bargains might be had
