Bad news for ATi R600 drivers
A lot of people have been saying since the ATi R600 launched that it's VLIW shader arch theoretical performance will be tapped by future driver releases and it will become a better card than what it was at launch.
This is turning out not to be true, as this ComputerBase review shows that performance has actually mainly gone down over the first 5 driver releases:

Two days ago Firing Squad published their impressions of the latest ATi drivers:

So apparently the hoped for driver based performance increases are going to remain "hoped for".:ill:

im going to get another one crossfire and see how well i do in crysis, but personally i realise that im gonna have to upgrade at some point soon as thats the nature of hardware.
