Some definite chicanery going on here. I suppose when you can't compete with your products, trying to slander your competitor is all that remains.

What's your point exactly? Or is this just another of your 'AMD sucks!' posts?
That complains bout the inquirer not backing up its claims, but neither does that, says things like "clearly biased screenshot" how so? It may well be true, but it just comes across as having a huge bent against amd.
Firstly there is no solid evidence that AMD has distributed anything. And secondly the article itself claims everyone does it. It's just like a monitor manufacturer who claims *insert random TN panel* can do 2ms and 1000:1 contrast. What's the difference? If a card manufacturer optimises a driver to work well in a set of benchmarks is that manipulation? Because they all do it. I fail to see what's wrong with AMD calling nV on it (if they did) and nV doing it in the first place (if they did).
Multiple sites reported they were given this presentation by AMD. It was likely done with Web-Ex conference, as that is how these things for meetings not significant enough to merit travel. (I've attended both types, if you're wondering how I know this)

This sort of thing is wrong (and newsworthy) because it creates a negative false impression of a vendor's products which can affect sales and end user satisfaction.Last week, AMD briefed members of the press regarding Silicon Optix’s HD HQV benchmark. AMD alleged its competitor, NVIDIA, cheated in the benchmark’s noise reduction section.
This presentation was no different than Sony showing slides of one of their tvs showing a normal tv picture, turning down the contrast all the way on a competitor's set to wash out the picture, and showing slides of that as representative of their competitor's picture quality.
If that doesn't seem "wrong" or "worth posting about" to you, I ask you why, because vendors DON'T do things like this "all the time". This borders on fraud.
It is wrong. But AMD are far from the only ones. They're in the majority. The only company that stands out as having pro-actively not done something, which springs to mind, is Intel when they showed the press their Conroe previews against the AMD setups. Many thought Intel were just playing games, expecting the Conroe's lead to be rather exaggerated. It turned out that if anything the previews were rather underwhelming compared to the shipped product. In this instance Intel are the exception to the rule.
It's not just IT. This sort of stuff goes on in every market.
I mean how many people look at what AMD's supposedly done and thought "oh no... nV are the anti-Christ"? How many sales is it going to change?
