    Graphics card cooling

Right the whine from the 9800's fan has got to go. Firstly if anyone knows the db rating of said fan, that would be really useful. Secondly, what can I replace it with? The space available means the fan must not make the card wider than the slot.

And obviously it needs to be nice and quiet! I'm not interested in overclocking the card, just running it at stock with minimum noise.

    Cheers
    Simon

Yes - but its about 3 bays wide No good for a Shuttle user!

I think your pritty suck M8 as the only cooler you can buy seperate from the card are those GF4 coolers ... you could try!

That will take up an extra slot, which I cannot do.

What card you got in your 1st PCI slot? surely your not using all PCI slots? Try taking a look at the Vantec Iceberq4 on the same link in my other post. i dont think it takes up a PCI slot. its also slightly better than the stock cooler

I don't know how well you know Shuttle SN85G4's but the AGP slot is on the outer edge of the board (i.e. the second slot), which means any cooling solution must fit within the slots' space. There are only 2 slots in total.

That looks ideal, but without knowing the current db output it's a bit of a stab in the dark
