Best sub £100 PCI-E graphics card..

Hey people wondering if someone can shed some light:

Im about to build a new machine for a friend of mine...

ive got a max of £100 for the gfx card, although the less the better.. shes really a games player (second life and Sims2 is about as advanced as it gets) but the machine will be used for photoshop and adobe premier as shes a keen photographer, oh and the machine will be running vista home premium with a 24" monitor
What do you reccomend? ive been looking at the 8600gt but know from my own experience that NV drivers on vista can be a bit tempremental... are ATI any better?

    Thanks in advance

Depends if you need DX10 really.

The ATi X1950pro is a great card on a budget and for DX9. You can get a 512mb version for about £80. or 256mb for a little less.

If you want DX10 then the 8600GT is OK and will play those games no problem i'd imagine.

Actually the high end dx9 card have been getting far harder to get hold of over the last couple of months. (esp the nvidia ones)
    The cheapest I could find a x1950pro 512mb on a quick search was £90

You should be able to pick up a 7900GT on ebay for around £60-80 Eclipse have one new for £111
