In a sort of followup to the 'Anyone still got a CRT' thread I thought I'd start up a poll to see really which one people prefer ...
I'm still with CRTs as there so much cheaper, better for gaming and better colour definition!

Have a 19" Iiyama VM 454 Pro and I love it. Space is not an issue with me so I can't see me getting a TFT for a long time to come.

I have an iiyama vision master pro 455 crt on me main rig upstairs, and a Hyundai Q17 tft on me shuttle rig in the lounge downstairs. Best of both worlds really but ive gotta say that the quality of the picture on the hyundai is amazing. On the defense of the crt there is obviously no ghosting whatsoever whereas on the tft there is very very slight ghosting depending on the game.
CRT for work
TFT for home
AT this point in time has to be CRT although give it another 12 months and ill probably say differently.

Iiyama 454 was what I used to have, and now it's a 514, love them both. I haven't used a resolution less than 1600x1200 for about three years now, and have yet to find a decent TFT for less than £800 that can match that...unless you count my Sony GRX316MP, which has a 16" screen and can run 1600x1200 without any problems...How come a two year old laptop can produce a brilliant (in brightness and quality) screen, and they still haven't matched it in the desktop TFT market?

I have an old Packard Bell 17" CRT and I prefer the image over that of a < £1000 TFT.
If I was buying a new monitor I'd buy a black 17" Iiyama VMP 413 (I think it is). Excellent value and excellent quality.

I have 2 19" CRT's - TFTs are still too expensive
TFT all the way. Mostly use my computer for internet/office/programming so colour reproduction isn't very too much of an issue (don't do much photoshop work and I have a home cinema if I ever want to watch a DVD).
Also, my eyes get tired if I use a CRT for too long. I find that I can use a TFT all day long. I'd rather pay £400 now for a decent TFT than have to spend thousands of pounds later on glasses.
TFT all the way for me, but then my space i very limited.
I got a 19" Dell (Planar) flat panel a few months back and the response time was too slow for me. It totally messed up my gaming. So I sold it to work, and bought myself a nice 21" Trinitron (CRT).
By all means a tft, your eyes are priceless and with a crt you are burning them! I'm getting a hunday q17, soon, right now I have a sony 15".
If you have space get a FlatScreened CRT. but if space is a premium then get a tft
Those who still think Colour Definition is not as good on TFT as it is on CRT need to wake up and smell the technology. Colour defs on new gen TFT's are better than ever and IMO better than CRT now, plus what games suffer in TFT's now, Ghosting is a thing of the past with 16ms and 20ms full colour transforms.
