Looking for best deal on ATI HD2900 Pro
Hello everyone,
I've just signed up with Hexus and I'm looking for the best online deal I can find for an ATI HD2900 Pro. Specifically the 512MB version as I'm using Vista 32bit and don't want to see all my addressable memory space go to the graphics card! This card is replacing my x1950 Pro (although I might run both together in x-fire?) :P
The deals I've found so far are:
Scan: £164.49 inc VAT (Powercolor)
scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=672339&ShowTab=5#SimilarProducts
eBuyer: £169.99 inc VAT (Powercolor)
ebuyer.com/product/132737
Tekheads: £164.49 inc VAT (Club 3D)
tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=608144
Overclockers UK: £176.24 inc VAT (Sapphire Silent)
overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-160-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=922
But I can't find any more :) I've had a good couple of hours sat down with a cup'o'joe and couldn't turn up many vendors actually selling this model with cards in stock.
I would be greatful if anyone knows of any good deals on this card if they could share it - any manufacturer who could offer me a good deal would also be welcomed :D credit card is standing by!
Many thanks!
Re: Looking for best deal on ATI HD2900 Pro
dude, i got mine at overclockers.co.uk for £174... its gone up now, but i got next day delivery which says a lot.
Ive ordered all my gear there and when browsing at other shops they always seem to take 3 days to deliver.
I can vouch that you shouldnt be looking for the better deal as much as delivery included...
how much would you pay if you cdould have it NOW :P not in 3 days :P
Re: Looking for best deal on ATI HD2900 Pro
I might have been tempted, but it's already the evening and I've missed the cutoff for Wednesday delivery :)
No time this week to test it, so not really in a rush.
Re: Looking for best deal on ATI HD2900 Pro
To OP: You can't Crossfire a 1950Pro and a 2900Pro. The cards need to be artitechturally very similar. A 2900Pro and 2900XT would probably work.
Re: Looking for best deal on ATI HD2900 Pro
Uriel,
Ah - that's a shame. But I thought that the architecture of Crossfire allowed for different Crossfire-compatible cards as long as one card supported being the Crossfire 'master' with the combination platform.
Anyway, no good deals on 2900?
