19" Lcd

I am now using a 19" CRT, which I get 100hz in some games I play, like CS and CSS. I am now looking for a nice 19" LCD monitor, but after what I've read you can't get 100hz with LCD ? Is that true ? And what is this 2ms 5ms 8ms stuff on lcd monitors ?

And last but not least, could any of you name a good cheap 19" lcd monitor here for gaming ? ;)

the 2ms is the time it takes to change colours, its the response time as its called for lcd's. manufacturers usually state the time to change from black to white or some sort of dull color iirc. you can't get 100hz like crt's but 2ms is quite fast so you won't notice ghosting.

I've been gaming for quite awhile now, and I notice big differences between 60hz ( 60 fps ) and 100 hz ( 100 fps ) So, playing with ie. 60 hz on a lcd with 2ms, would I notice any difference at all or does a normal crt monitor have 2ms aswell ? :angst:

well it'll be different than a crt, but i haven't noticed any difference in refresh rates on crt with games. afaik a 2ms lcd is quite fast and it'll feel different but you'll get used to it.

Hmm, could you give me a few examples on a few good lcd's ? ;)
