    7900GS or x1950 pro

been noseying around for a new graphics card that isnt going tobreak the bank and came across this on ebuyer for £63 delivered.

XFX 7900GS 256MB DDR3 ExTreme Edition DUAL DVI PCI-E Graphics Card - Ebuyer

seems like a good deal to me, esp as i hear it can be overclocked to over 600mhz on the gpu and over 1600 on the ram.

or am i better off buying a cheap x1950 pro?

going to be running off a e2160@2.7ghz, abit ip35, 2gb ram, on a 20" widescreen, mainly playing wow, trackmania and stuff like that

    cheers

    Re: 7900GS or x1950 pro

They are both good cards, the X1950 pro just edging it at overall fps and they are both good clockers. Personaly i would go for the ATI as the drivers are better than NVIDIA's .

    Re: 7900GS or x1950 pro

Yes but you're not going to find a x1950pro for £63, well maybe 2nd hand you might.
the XXX edition (which I have) comes overclocked to 600/1600 not sure how well that model overclocks.
And I've had no problems what so ever with the drivers and my 7900gs
It's the 8800 and 7800 series that seemed plagued with random problems.
