    Don't think so.

Rumour central says no as well, though they have been known to jump to conclusions

    Re: 8800gt

    Whats the rush??

In the next few weeks there will be more cards available since Flextronics will start making their 8800GT cards as only Foxconn are making them at the moment.

Also prices should start to drop when the new ATI cards come out too.

    Re: 8800gt

But that's a few weeks without a pc for some people, I'm getting the bit for a new pc for a friend, just hopeing I can get one by next weekend and my friends pc o keep going will manage that long (motherboard is going and HD is on it's last legs)

As for wanting a 8800GT over any other card, they are currently the best sub £200 card and they are still cheaper than 8800gts 320mb and out performing the 8800gts 640mb at the lower resolutions.

Yes, but you can hardly get hold of them in the first place!! When the other source of 8800GT cards,ie, Flextronics starts churning out the cards there should be enough available. According to most of the blurb this will happen around the middle to end of the month.

Also I never said that the ATI cards are going to be better!! I only said that prices should drop due to the increased availablity of cards and the increased competition from ATI.

Remember many of the 8800GT cards were actually only 140 quid until most of the sellers decided Christmas had come early and they upped the prices by 30 to 40 quid.

eVGA has 'em on their website (the KO version for sure). The SSC ones are backordered, though... But you *can* get the KO version of the GT.
