BSOD: ati2dvag got stuck in a loophole
Okay so well here I am again with an annoying problem, most likely to be related to software...:embarrassed:
I bought a new notebook a few months ago with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card and from somewhere in the first week of my ownership of this notebook I get a BSOD saying ati2dvag "is in een oneindige lus blijven hangen", which means something like it's being stuck in a loophole. I found it happen in the following occasions:
-Opening the Catalyst Control Center
-Changing anything other than the resolution or color depth, including but not limited to hardware acceleration level
-Installing the Remote Control Pro Server
Yesterday I used the Catalyst Uninstaller found on the ATI support site to remove all the drivers and such and then reinstalled the latest version of the CCC for my card, which I found here. But the problem didn't get solved. Of course I searched other sites for solutions too, and some of them said I should turn of Hardware Acceleration and untick this one box under the HA slider, but as said above my things stopped working again. However, when I rebooted I found that the HA did get turned off, but this one checkbox is still ticked. I can start CCC now, however. I searched my computer for the file and got two results: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ati2dvag.dll and 'ati2dvag.dl_' in [the folder Catalyst has installed from: C:\Program Files\ATI Catalyst Control Center]\Driver\Driver\XP_INF\B_53901; the latter being notably smaller (263kB and 166kB). The DLL file is version 6.14.10.6727, the other one has no version tab in its properties window.
What r we gonna do 'bout it? :help:
Thanks in advance for any reply that comes here.

I read all of that (including linked stuff) but, just as some of those guys there, I get no 'CPU to AGP Controller' but nothing of those other things either. I'll post my list here, maybe someone could use it. The names are Dutch, but I tried to translate them properly.

Re: BSOD: ati2dvag got stuck in a loophole
Oh okay thanks ^^ Looking forward to it.
Re: BSOD: ati2dvag got stuck in a loophole
Just got it again, when I connected a new UPnP device to my (wireless) network. I clicked the balloon Windows XP showed me, and the My Network Places-window opened, followed by the ati2dvag BSOD after a few seconds of being locked.
When I rebooted I started Firefox to post this after checking reports on Travian, but while clicking on a link in Travian the screen went white and shortly after that blue, with white text which you can guess already. This bug is really annoying so I hope there is some solution found already.
EDIT: oh yeah, some time ago I copied the minixxx.dmp and sysdata.xml files Windows was about to send to Microsoft (crash analysis) to my desktop so if someone could use them just PM me.
