I have just got a friends PC that was "Playing up" on inspection the fan on the graphics card seems to have melted and dropped from the heat sink. I have looked on eBay and a few online shops, but can seem to find a replacement, and I know talking to PC World or Medion would be resultless. Can anyone help source a heatsink fan for this card?

May I suggest buying a new graphics card instead? After all if its melted a fan :o just how hot was it!!! Then the GPU may be damaged or impaired now anyway.
The are plenty of cards available in the low end of the performance stakes for less than £40 and I would personally see this as the more sensible route forward.
Just my thoughts feel free to disregard and continue looking for a cooler, the distance between the mounting holes for the heatsink would be useful to know in this case.

The problem is I am struggling to find anything about the 6610XT, there doesn't appear to be anything on the Nvidia site either.
I am trying to find the cheapest suitable card to replace this one. Would a Nvidia 7300LE be as good?

If you are interested i have a pretty decent pci-e video card for sale, not sure if you need agp or not, it is an ASUS ATI I have with 256mb memory and a unmelted heatsink and fan lol
Thats a slightly modified 6600GT made specifically for those Medion machines (big in germany I beleive)
A 7300GT would be around the same performance, personally I'd look for a second hand 9800Pro or 6800/7600
Design Fault? I just recevied a Medion PC (The last one was an Advent) from another friend and, low and behold, there is also a Medion 6610XT in the machine, with a melted fan!!!!
The problem I have is the expansion port on the top of the card to power the Scart socket on the back, I know my friend does use this for his TV, is there any chance of getting a cheap card with this same connector on it?

Would a VF700 fit on there?
mm, the VF700 has a supported and unsupported and the 6610XT isn't on the unsupported. The 6600 PCIe is on the list of supported so it might just do. I will need to check the card when I get home to see if any of the capacitors stick up too high.

Aye, the upper left cap does look like it may interfere with the fixing bracket. There's always the VF900 which looks like it has several brackets to afford extra compatibility... but as I've never used one that's were I need to bow out!
OK, it's in Dutch, and I don't know how similar the 6610XT and 6610XL versions are, but this site:

lists the a Silencer 6 on the graphics card.
I would of thought that coolers that fit the 6600 series would fit this card, so yeah VF700, VF900, Silencer 6, Iceberq 4/5
