NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS 512MB G92 Tested :: TweakTown
Funnily enough if you look at the figures for the 8800GT they seem quite similiar at lower resolutions.Even the ATI HD3870 put in a good showing!! :)

Nice review. I am interested to see more though to make a good comparison.
On the face of it the GT performs well against it
BUT!!!!
When you use it with Vista and DX10 kicks in, the gap between the new GTS and GT is very impressive in the new GTS's favour.
If these reviews continue in the saem vein then its a forgone fact that this new GTS is far better value in price vs performance than the GT. The guy hit the nail on the head when he spoke about the GT being a 'stop gap' i think. The new GTS's will be available while the GT's pre-orders will still be staggering along.;
On a last note, it rolls the ATI cards over and make em squeal :D
But then the ATI cards are cheaper. It also does not help that more games are optimised for Nvidia cards too!! :(
Hmmmm....
I think I'm still gonna go for an 8800gt 512 after new year. Wait and see what the price does, then slap some after market cooling on it.
But I'm only playing at 1280 x 1024 at the mo.
Interesting review, but no GTX? What?
That last benchmark on Crysis was a bit odd. At 1280x1024 the GTX beats the new GTS, but at 1900x1200 the GTS beats the GTX , with the GTX having more memory i'd have thought it would be the other way round.
I am guessing that the GTX scores are old and have certain variables changed, whether its the build of Crysis, the drivers or another different PC component........its just the comment on the last page makes me think "not like for like"
All together now, why the hell didnt they include the OLD 640mb gts aswell, would have been interesting how it performed.
I think i will wait for some more reviews and benchies before making my mind up...oh and a release too! :)
Not long to wait now, Dec 11 roll on!
If more reviews are like this, then I know what graphics card I'll be buying in a few weeks.
looks good :)
I wonder how much stock British etailers will have and what price mark up there will be. Hopefully it will be a better launch with more etailer competition than the 8800GT launch. I want to spend all my Christmas holiday seriously gaming it up with a new toy.

nice.. makes more sense than the GT at that price.
