    SLi 8800GT any card?

Can I stick any of the current referance cards in together or should I go for a 2nd card from the same brand? (As they are all referance boards the only differance I can see should be the firmware but will that stop me?)

Mixing brands should be ok, however, I'm not sure if SLi can deal with async frequencies, so make sure the core/shader/mem clocks match up.

    Re: SLi 8800GT any card?

Clock speeds don't need to match up, SLi underclocks the more powerful card to the spec's of the lesser card.

    Re: SLi 8800GT any card?

Suposedly you have to use the same brand and model.
However it is possible to use mixed brands, beaware that it may not work.

There has been some really crazy assed SLi setups done in the past, I cannot find it now but I seem to remember someone getting a sli rig to work on the ASRock motherboard with a 7800gt pci-e and a 7600gt agp card, it took a lot of work and a custom BIOS

That seems like a lot of effort
