    Which TFT - Sorry :(

ok i know these threads are all over the place but i need a definitive answer as its a lot of money.

Am looking at getting a tft but don't know which to get. Im thinking i'll have around 500 quid to splash. So spend wisely

What do i use my PC for?

Gaming - Not so much these days though do enjoy the odd spout of quake or things like that. Gaming can take a back seat though but nice responce time would be nice.

Usually use my computer for things like music, browsing irc the usual. Ive got a sapphire radeon 9500pro with the dvi thingie majig.

Would like it to be a nice looking one if possible. A lot of them look like rebadged samsung ones so i dunno which to go for. Quite like the look of the LG Flatron ones.

    Anyway, what you guy sthink??

i'd say look at the LG L1710B and the black and silver equivalent (it hasn't got DVI).

Getting one without DVI would be rather foolish. There is no reason to skip on pixel-sharpness, well, with your large budget anyway.

If you are wanting a 17", the hercules DVI one is meant to be rather good and stylish.

Personally I have the Hitachi 17" and can't fault it. Some aren't fond of its looks though.

Hercules DVI would be the way to go ! .

I have a Samsung 181T and it's lovely, but nowadays the Herc seems to be the thing.. i'd buy one of those as well if I had the money spare .

Using the NEC 1760NX which I like, decent response times and looks good in black and silver. Have to say though that I wished I'd waited a month for the Hercules 920 with DVI as it's got more style than the NEC. Being Hercules you pay for it though.
