How much of a drop in prices will this cause with the 8800 cards?

You can't seriously be asking this question?

NVIDIA sets MSRP, vendors and supply and demand set market price.

No one can answer this question.

I'm going to hazard a guess at BUGGER ALL.

I'll wait for the next series when there are more powerful, smaller, less power consuming, heat generating and most importantly of all cheaper cards doing the rounds.

Still, I want to see figures of Crysis with three of these!

Pre order $598/£297, they have 3870x2 for $476/£235 to compare.

Both With the GX2 coming pretty soon, and the GTX end of March apparently.
