hi all
i recently purchased a gnr monitor with dvi capibilities.
i purchased a dvi dual link lead and connected my moniot to graphics card to be told there is no signal. the monitor works fine on vga mode.
can ne 1 help me? do i have to install a driver? uninstall the current previous dell monitor? have i got the wrong lead?

Click on the 'source' or 'input' button on the monitor until it selects the digital signal.
hi, to change beween dvi and vga mode, u press the two volum control buttons for a second or two
i do this and that is when the scrreen changesfrom vga to dvi with the error message 'no signal'
Do you have a single Link cable to try? You should see a dos screen when your pc boots at the very least.
I had a similar problem.... it was because the Interface select on the monitor was set to Auto,,, as soon as I locked it to DVI the problem was solved.
thanks very much ppl...i've figured out what the problem was and seems its was prob the simplest problem to solve...
took the vga lead out and booted pc up with just dvi and everyting seems fine....guess u live and learn...once again thanks for your time
