How long do you wait for an RMA?

    Hi guys & gals,

I sent a Gainward 7900GT in to Scan shortly before Christmas. Anyone know how long I can expect to have to wait before I get a return? I have always had superb results from Scan and Scan classed the card as a hardware failure really fast, so I presume the hold-up is with Gainward and the fact that the card is no longer made.

I'd give Scan a call - I had a similar problem with some memory - rang them up after it all appeared to stall, discussed the alternatives and the replacement was on its way next day.

Re: How long do you wait for an RMA?

Just a note to say thanks for the replies. I phoned them up and got the usual very helpful response.

Due to the time waiting for a replacement card they dispatched a more up to date replacement (wohooo!) which I have now sent back due to a faulty fan that only ever runs flat out

Is it just me or does modern hardware seem badly tested these days? Perhaps I have had an unlucky year. Back to the cheap 8600GT for me in the mean time...
